The salt mill is fitted with a durable nylon mechanism, resistant to corrosion by salt and that can be adjusted to give a fine to coarse grind.

3¾-inches (95mm) tall, and with an "S" engraved on the top button to differentiate it from the matching pepper grinder: it is hallmarked and can be engraved with a message, name(s) or anniversary date.
