When their work is completed it is polished to a high finish before being sent to the London Assay Office where it is hallmarked around the base. This time-consuming process precedes our rapid engraving and delivery service.An "S" engraved on the top button of the salt mill differentiates it from it's companion piece, our 4-inch silver pepper grinder.
